Charity Knitting – You’re sure to have fun with the charity knitters! Bring something to work on for others and join the group! Aren’t sure what to knit? The Wednesday group will give you lots of ideas! Every Wednesday from 12:00-2:00 at River Knits.  Have lots of fun while working on a project to brighten someone’s day! 

Knit Night – Knit Night is just for fun!  Grab your current project and enjoy an evening out of the house! See what other knitters are working on, relax, and visit.  Knit Night is not an instructional evening; purely social!

Events at River Knits

Knit Night meets every 2nd Monday, 7-9pm,

Knit Night is a social gathering hosted by River Knits on the second Monday of each month from 7:00-9:00pm. Knit Night is a free event that is not instructional based but for the purpose of gathering together with other knitters for social enjoyment and fellowship. Knitters are encouraged to bring their current project and enjoy visiting and meeting new friends through knitting. All skill levels welcome! Crocheters welcome too!

Knitting for Others
At River Knits

River Knits Charity Knitting meets every Wednesday from 12:00-2:00pm.  Our group actively supports many organizations throughout the year. If you don’t have time to join our knitting group on Wednesdays, you may always drop off hand knit donations that River Knits will distribute. If possible, please attach a tag with fiber content especially if special care is required.

 Local organizations in need:

Lafayette Urban Ministry (LUM) - blankets and socks for men

Project Sweet Peas - premie caps in washable yarns

 Riggs Health -Normal newborn caps, baby sweaters & blankets, accessories for children

Bauer Family Resources - hats, mittens, warm scarves for kids through teen/adult sizes

International organizations in need:

 Mittens for Akkol was founded by a yarn shop owner in Cincinnati to support children who live in orphanages in Kazakhstan.  We accept items that are 75-100% wool for this project.
Socks, slippers, mittens, vests, sweaters and hats sized baby through adult/teen.
